Introducing Alpha (JCH. Wolf-Canyon Still Loving You). He is the vivid example of heart triumphing over reason. At first, Alpha would not stay at home. But 10 days before he was about to go with his new family, he found some pine processionary caterpillars (Thaumetopea pityocampa) coming from neighbor's yard. He was very ill and he even lost a piece of his tongue. During his recovery, Javier fell deeply in love with the little fellow and begged me, “please, let him stay at home”. So I talked with the family, explained them the situation, and offered to look for another puppy asking another breeder. Fortunately, found them a similar puppy that suited what they wanted. And that's how Alpha stayed with us!
Despite being a little rascal, Alpha has an outstanding temperament and is so funny, it's a great pleasure to have him around. His mother Kylie (Multi CH. Kinuk's I Want It All) is very pleased with him and our daughter has a big play pal, they have so much fun together!
Javi also has discovered Alpha has a great working ability. He has starting training for mushing and along with his mother, they are great team, strong and fast. They have participated in some races already, although we know malamutes are not a fast dog to compete in those events LOL.
I do prefer much more the world of dog shows and training a malamute pup is always a challenge. But his first results are really great and he has already started a successful showing career. He finnished his Portuguese Junior Championship winning 4 points in a row in Portugal. Like father, like son, cause he comes from Multi CH parents. |
